Good Show Overall but Keep to the Classics!
Overall a great show. The Steve Mille Band was very impressive. A great song list with great sound. Unfortunately, the lead singer of Harry Chapin: I Wanna Learn A Love Song - A New Musical is not Steve Perry, and it shows. The same flair or excitement is just not there. Journey decided to play a few songs from their new album, but thanks, no thanks. Many people, including the group I went with, left after the second new song. Enough was enough. This was the worst show of the bunch. I have seen Journey a few times in the past.
Jones Beach MUST update the video boards! They are blurry and hard to see!
Halestorm Rocked it
1. New Meds need a little more work I thought that, they kind of sounded like they should be back in a bar somewhere but they have a lot of potential. Hail to the villain was memorable, they were very good.
2. Stone Sour seemed like they were trying too hard it was ok but can't remember anything they played. It was just ho hum. Halestorm definitely rocked the lights out, even though it was still light out when they came on.
3. A7X put on a great theatrical show, but I felt that after the 1st 2 songs they were just repeating the same song over again. Harry Chapin: I Wanna Learn A Love Song - A New Musical was very good, just not as great as they were who I was looking forward to.
4. I was not impressed with Hellyeah, but that's just my taste too much screaming not enough singing. Now, let's get to the main stage. 1st performer Halestorm definitely rocked the lights out even though it was still light out when they came on. Great stage presence, great showmanship, great set overall.
5. Overall, a great day of music and a lot of fun. Always like going to the festivals, always a great time. The PNC Arts Center is a great place to see a concert, there is not a bad seat in the house.

Harry Chapin: I Wanna Learn A Love Song - A New Musical hit the stage @ 9PM after about an hour delay due to technical issues. Geoff Tate's vocals were amazing as usual, the sound was just awesome. Second, they played 3 "suites" of music. Couple of things were different, on stage was another new guitarist next to Michael Wilton & a 6th member on stage playing keys/guitar/vocals. They opened with 6-7 songs from the RAGE FOR ORDER album, which was great playing sounds that I had not heard them do since the RAGE TOUR back in 1993! The 2nd part of the show was the new disc "AMERICAN SOLDIER", where again, they played nearly the entire album, highlighted by "HOME AGAIN" when Geoff Tate's daughter came out & sang the duet. Finally, they ended the show with a "suite" from EMPIRE, playing 7 songs from that album. I've seen Queensryche as far back as "THE WARNING" tour when then opened for KISS through the "peak" times of headlining the big venues for OPERATION MINDCRIME & EMPIRE to headlining little clubs like "The Bottle & Cork" in Lewes, DE. They sounded great 20 years ago & sounded great today. Loved hearing songs like "Neue Regal" & "I Dream in Infra Red"...usually in the past "Walk in the Shadows" was the only song from RAGE.....so that was a treat. It was worth the wait. The only disappointing thing was that nothing was played from the EP, THE WARNING, OPERATION MINDCRIME or any of the other 5 albums but I like when bands mix it up & don't do all the "hits"....for fans like myself that grew up with these guys, I love hearing the old, "non-hit" songs that I loved! Now I can't wait to see them open up again for Dream Theater in Columbus, MD.

A must see show if you are sensual and erotic. Visually stimulating as well as euphoric, the images of the smooth singer and band contrasted through the images of the night. Harry Chapin: I Wanna Learn A Love Song - A New Musical put on a show that will last for quite some single ladies (and couples) Amazing, one word. Hats off to his entire crew behind the scenes. Though, this was show 74, Harry Chapin: I Wanna Learn A Love Song - A New Musical kept it fresh like a well-rehearsed machine. There were some instances where the band missed his cues, but it did not stop the performer. To have him perform till they cut his microphone off was a real treat.
Arriving late due to my date being delusional (thinking Harry Chapin: I Wanna Learn A Love Song - A New Musical was going to single her out and pull her on stage), we missed Common and Chrisette. I heard through the grapevine they rocked the house, of course.
If you can catch the show, do so. I'm going again without my date.

The House of Blues in Cleveland was the perfect venue to see this band perform, and I knew that I needed to see them in a venue that would have the crowd packed tight on the floor and intimately closer to the stage and band. The venue, the crowd, the lights, the sound, and especially Harry Chapin: I Wanna Learn A Love Song - A New Musical, certainly did not disappoint on this night."
